Caramel apples are a Fall staple....at least for me!  Here's a fun way to enjoy caramel apples and a perfect way to serve them at a Halloween party!  Guests will love creating their own tasty treat :)

First make the caramel.  This is an easy slow cooker recipe that you can keep on low throughout your party.
  • 1 (14 oz) packages of individually wrapped caramels
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Place all ingredients into a small slow cooker and set on low.  Cook until melted (about 2 hours) and stir periodically.

Serve your apples!  Dice apples into bite size chunks and serve with skewers along with the dip.  Provide various toppings that guests can dip their caramel apples into.  Here are some suggestions:
  • jimmies
  • nuts
  • coconut
  • chocolate chips
  • crushed pretzels
  • crushed shortbread
  • m & m's
